A visual demonstration of buoyancy and atmospheric pressure. A glass Cartesian diver 2.5" tall rises and lowers in a column of water as the pressure is increased and decreased. Increased pressure is obtained by compressing a rubber sheet stretched over a water filled cylinder. A red band around the neck of the diver helps make the diver visible. Instructions included.
Hand crafted, blown glass piece, approximately 2.5" in height with a red band around the neck, making the diver visible when submerged in liquid. Can be purchased as a replacement to the Cartesian Diver Unit or used in other cylinders or soda pop bottles experiments.
