System is powered by a 1/8 hp, corrosion-resistant, PTFE pump. All wettable parts, including the diaphragm and valves are PTFE. Vacuum level regulator and built-in dial guage allow easy control of pressure to prevent sample bumping or foaming. Switchable gas ballast inhibits vapor condensation inside pump heads. An inlet separator traps ejected condensed solvent vapors. A self-cleaning purge automatically runs for two minutes at shut-down to expell unwanted residue, extending the diaphragm life. Use with rotary evaporators up to 5 L capacity. A cold trap, such as Welch 1420H-14 (7893R90) is recommended when using this pump with centrifugal concentrators. Also recommended for use with vacuum ovens up to 28 L capacity.
